Campaign Expansion for Shogun 2

Rise of the Samurai adds a standalone campaign set 400 years before the main game, based on the Gempei War. It introduces six new playable clans, 10 naval units, three naval special abilities and four agent types with unique skill trees. The DLC requires the base game Total War: Shogun 2 on Steam to play.

Steam Activation and System Needs

Installation is handled through the Steam client using the supplied online code. A Steam account and an internet connection are mandatory for activation and download. The package is region-locked and cannot be activated in the listed blocked countries. Minimum specs call for a 2 GHz dual-core or 2.6 GHz single-core processor, 1 to 2 GB RAM, a 256 MB DirectX 9.0c card and 32 GB of free disk space.

Strategy Players Who Own the Base Game

This DLC suits owners of Total War: Shogun 2 who want a new historical campaign with fresh clans, naval mechanics and agent gameplay. It is not for players who do not already own the base game on Steam. Buyers in blocked regions cannot activate the code. Shoppers seeking a standalone title or a different historical setting should look elsewhere.
