Product Identity

This downloadable content pack adds the Otomo Clan as a playable faction to Total War: SHOGUN 2. It requires the base game on Steam and a Steam account for activation. The DLC is rated Teen by the ESRB for language, sexual themes, and violence. It delivers new strategic options for single and multiplayer campaigns.

Suitability

Strategy players who own Total War: SHOGUN 2 on Steam and want an extra faction with unique Portuguese trade mechanics will benefit. Buyers without the base game cannot use this content. Users in blocked regions such as Japan, China, Russia, and most of South America and Africa cannot activate the code. Mac owners should verify compatibility before purchase.

Deciding Specification

The product is a Steam-locked download code (model 39544) that only works where the base game is owned and the region is not blocked. Questions about this item

How do I install the Otomo Clan Pack DLC (model 39544) on Steam, and what step do people often miss?

Redeem the online game code in your Steam client, then ensure the base game Total War: SHOGUN 2 is already installed; the DLC will not appear playable until the base game is present in your library.

Will the Otomo Clan Pack DLC require any future maintenance or replacement downloads?

No separate maintenance is needed; the DLC is a permanent addition to your Steam account once activated, and any updates are delivered automatically through the Steam client alongside base-game patches.

What is the first system limit I will hit when running the Otomo Clan Pack DLC during long campaign sessions?

The 32 GB hard-drive space requirement for the base game is the primary storage limit; sustained play does not introduce additional DLC-specific caps beyond the base game's 1 GB RAM (XP) or 2 GB RAM (Vista/Windows 7) minimums.
