What these goggles are and who they suit

The Sellstrom 80200 chemical splash goggles are general-purpose personal protective equipment with a blue PVC frame and an FR cloth headband. They fit universally and use an over-the-glasses frame style so prescription eyewear can be worn underneath. The clear lenses carry an anti-fog coating for clearer vision in humid conditions.

Interface limits and practical constraints

These goggles carry no ANSI dust or splash rating and provide no dielectric protection, so they must not be used where certified impact, splash or electrical insulation is required. The lack of brow and eye-socket linings means sealing against fine particles or liquid entry is limited. Anti-static coating is absent, which may allow dust to cling in dry environments.

Installation ease and common issues

The adjustable FR cloth headband allows quick fitting, but the universal sizing is not rated for small heads and may slip on narrower faces. Over-the-glasses frames can press against temple arms if the prescription frames are wide. Fog resistance relies solely on the factory coating; once it wears off, visibility drops unless a replacement lens or aftermarket treatment is applied.
