Sennheiser SC230 monaural USB headset

The Sennheiser SC230 is a monaural USB headset built for VoIP communication. It connects directly to a computer via USB for plug-and-play operation. The single-ear design keeps one ear open to the surrounding environment. It suits professionals who spend long hours on calls while staying aware of colleagues.

Wideband audio and noise-cancelling microphone

Wideband audio support reproduces a broader frequency range for clearer voice reproduction. The noise-cancelling microphone reduces background sound transmission to the far end. No additional cables or adapters are required beyond the integrated USB connection. These features improve intelligibility in busy office or home-office settings.

On-ear build with fixed USB cable

The on-ear form factor rests on the ear rather than enclosing it, reducing heat build-up during extended wear. A fixed USB cable means there is no detachable cord to misplace or replace. The monaural layout leaves the other ear free for face-to-face conversation. Users who prefer a replaceable cable or stereo audio should consider other models.

Questions about this item

When will the USB cable on the SC230 need replacing?

The headset has no detachable cable, so the whole unit would be replaced if the fixed lead fails.

What limits continuous call time on the SC230?

Power comes from the USB port, so talk time is limited only by the host device staying on.

How much heat or noise does the SC230 produce during all-day use?

It draws minimal USB power and has no fan, so heat and electronic noise are negligible.
