Wireless TV Listening Headphones

The Sennheiser RS 120-W is a wireless on-ear headphone system designed for television audio. It includes the HDR 120-W headphones and a TR 120-W transmitter that doubles as a charging dock. The system connects to a TV via stereo RCA or a 3.5 mm jack adapter, offering a private listening alternative to built-in speakers. It suits adults who want clear TV sound without disturbing others.

Sustained Listening Comfort and Range

The lightweight 695 gram frame and low headband pressure are built for extended wearing comfort during long viewing sessions. Digital wireless transmission provides a stable signal up to 60 metres through walls and ceilings, avoiding analog static. Rechargeable AAA NiMH batteries deliver up to 20 hours of continuous playback per charge. The transmitter dock ensures the headphones are always powered and ready for the next session.

Three Sound Modes for TV Content

A dedicated control dial on the headphone earcup allows instant switching between Speech, Music and Neutral sound profiles. Speech mode enhances dialogue clarity for news and drama, Music mode widens the stereo image for concerts, and Neutral provides a balanced response for general streaming. This single control adapts the audio character to the programme without navigating on-screen menus.

Questions about this item

Does the headset generate noticeable heat or fan noise during all-day TV watching?

The on-ear design has no active cooling and weighs 695 g, so it stays at room temperature and operates silently.

Which audio outputs must my television already have for the transmitter to connect?

The transmitter accepts a stereo RCA connection or a 3.5 mm jack, so the TV needs one of those analogue outputs.

Will the wireless link work alongside an older analogue RF headphone set I still use in another room?

The digital 60 m transmission avoids the static of analogue RF, so both systems can run without mutual interference.
