Replacement Lamp Module

This Sharp BQC-XGP20XU/1 module supplies a complete 220W UHP bulb inside its housing. It arrives fully assembled so technicians can swap it without handling the bare lamp. The part targets owners of compatible Sharp projectors who need a direct replacement.

Interface and Runtime Limits

The lamp is rated for 1000 hours of operation at its specified 220W draw. Projector power circuitry and cooling must match this rating exactly or the module will not ignite or will fail prematurely. Buyers who need longer rated life or a different wattage cannot use this part.

Decisive Specification

The 220W UHP rating is the single figure that decides compatibility; only projectors designed for this exact wattage and lamp code will accept it. Units requiring a different power level or lamp format will not work with this module.

Questions about this item

Which Sharp BQC-XGP20XU/1 lamp version should I choose — the OEM bulb maker, Sharp-sold OEM, alternative OEM, or compatible?

The OEM version from the original bulb manufacturer matches the factory module exactly. Sharp’s own OEM carries the brand warranty chain. An alternative OEM uses a different major bulb maker but the same specs. The compatible version uses genuine OEM parts at a lower cost. All meet ISO 9001 checks.

What does the 220 W rating mean once the lamp is installed in my projector?

The projector will draw 220 W to drive the UHP bulb, delivering its rated brightness. Power draw and heat output scale with that wattage, so the cooling system must handle the load. Lamp life is rated at 1 000 hours at this power level.

Does the lamp housing use a proprietary connector or a standard interface?

The module ships as a complete housing with the exact connector and mounting points for Sharp projectors that take the BQC-XGP20XU/1. No adapter or rewiring is needed; it plugs straight into the projector’s lamp socket.
