275 W Phoenix SHP bulb in a ready-to-install housing rated for 3,000 hours
The Sharp DT-500 OEM Phoenix SHP lamp ships as a complete 275 W bulb-and-housing assembly, so technicians can swap it into a compatible Sharp projector without separate alignment steps. It is intended for venues and classrooms that need a direct replacement rather than a bare bulb kit.
Rated at 275 watts, the lamp draws a steady load that the host projector’s cooling system is designed to manage during typical presentations. Manufacturer testing targets a 3,000-hour service interval before brightness drops to half, assuming standard operating cycles and adequate airflow.
The package includes the fully assembled housing, eliminating the need to handle a fragile bare bulb or reuse an old cage. Quality checks follow ISO 9001 procedures covering beam performance, ignition voltage, connections and run-time so the unit lights reliably on first strike.

Power off the projector and let it cool completely, open the lamp cover, remove the old module, insert the new DT-500 unit until it clicks securely, replace the cover, then reset the lamp timer in the projector menu — skipping the timer reset is the step most often missed.
The lamp is rated for 3,000 hours of use; after that the bulb reaches end of life and the entire DT-500 module must be replaced, as the housing is not designed for bulb-only swaps.
The 275 watt power draw generates significant heat, so the projector’s thermal protection will trigger a shutdown if ventilation is restricted or filters are clogged, making airflow the first practical limit under sustained use.
