12-Digit Paperless Printing Calculator

The Sharp EL-1901 is a desktop calculator that replaces a traditional ribbon printer with a five-line LCD. It is suited for students and office workers who need a printed-style record without paper waste or printer noise. The unit runs from an AC power source and shows twelve digits on a fixed-angle display.

300-Step Check and Correct Capacity

Up to 300 calculation steps can be reviewed on screen, letting users scroll back to find and fix entry errors before finalising a total. The twelve-digit display handles everyday arithmetic and currency tasks, but the fixed single-line notation and lack of fraction or scientific functions limit advanced mathematical work.

AC-Powered Desktop Build with Fixed Display

Mains power removes the need for battery changes during long sessions. The 15 mm character height on the fixed-angle LCD keeps figures readable in typical desk lighting. Four-key memory, cost-sell-margin keys, automatic tax keys and a grand-total key support common business calculations, while the backspace and double-zero keys speed data entry.

Questions about this item

Will the EL-1901 sit on the same desk as my older AC-powered adding machine without needing a different outlet?

Yes — the EL-1901 runs from a standard AC supply, so it plugs into the same mains socket you already use for other desktop calculators.

How can I confirm the 12-digit LCD is showing every entry correctly after I first switch it on?

Enter a simple calculation, then press the Check and Correct key to scroll through up to 300 stored steps on the five-line display and verify each figure.

Does the EL-1901 box include paper rolls or ink ribbons, or must I buy them separately?

No paper rolls or ink ribbons are needed or supplied; the calculator is completely paperless, so nothing extra is required for printing output.
