Twin-Power Calculator with XL Display

The Sharp EL760RBMT is a desktop calculator powered by both solar cells and a backup battery. Its extra-large eight-digit display sits at an inclined angle for easier reading. Round keys and dedicated tax-calculation functions support everyday arithmetic tasks in classrooms or offices.

Suited for basic math and tax work.

Students, teachers and office workers who need straightforward addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and tax calculations will find the feature set adequate. The constant-calculation mode helps with repetitive figures. Buyers who require scientific, graphing or programmable capabilities should look at a different class of device.

Twin Power (Battery & Solar)

Dual power sources mean the calculator runs on ambient light whenever possible and falls back to the internal battery in low-light conditions. This removes the need for frequent battery changes and keeps the unit ready for daily use in schools, home offices or retail counters.

Questions about this item

When will the battery in the Twin Power system need replacing?

The calculator runs on both solar and battery power; the battery typically lasts several years under normal use and only needs changing when the display dims in low light.

What is the maximum number of digits the display can show before overflow?

The XL display handles 8 digits; any result exceeding that limit shows an error symbol until cleared.

Does the calculator heat up or make noise during all-day use?

It has no fan or moving parts, draws minimal power from solar or battery, and stays silent and cool even with continuous operation.
