The Sharp XP-A824U-W is a new ultra-short-throw LCD laser projector built for fixed installations in conference rooms, auditoriums and sanctuaries. Its IP5X sealed cooling system removes the need for lamp changes or filter cleaning. With 8,200 lumens and a 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, it delivers bright, detailed images on large screens.

This model suits AV teams who need native HDBaseT input and output for daisy-chaining multiple units and passing video, audio and control over long cable runs. It fits environments that rely on Crestron, Extron, AMX or PJLink control systems and benefit from competitor command support. Buyers who need a portable projector for occasional use should look elsewhere, as the short-throw lens and installation features are optimised for permanent mounting.

WUXGA Native Resolution

The panel’s native 1920 x 1200 resolution defines the sharpest detail the projector can reproduce without scaling. It accepts signals up to 4096 x 2160 for 4K 60P playback through the onboard video processor, but the displayed image remains WUXGA. If the application demands true 4K pixel density on screen, this native resolution will not meet that requirement.
