Permanent yellow paint marker

The Sharpie 35554 is a liquid paint marker with a medium bullet tip. Its aluminium barrel holds a capillary-fed yellow ink that dries in under two minutes. The formulation meets the ACMI AP non-toxic standard and withstands temperatures up to 302 degrees Fahrenheit.

Users needing opaque marks on hard surfaces

Suited for marking ceramic, concrete, glass, metal, plastic, rubber, stone or wood where a permanent, weather-resistant line is required. Not suited for buyers who need a fine-line pen for writing on paper, a low-odour ink for confined spaces, or a refillable marker system.

Medium bullet tip and 302 °F rating

The medium bullet tip determines line width and control on rough or smooth materials. The 302 °F maximum service temperature decides whether the mark survives in high-heat environments such as engine compartments or industrial ovens.

Questions about this item

How do I start the ink flow on this marker without flooding the tip?

Shake the capped marker vigorously with the tip up, then press the bullet tip down on scrap material until paint saturates it — usually a few firm presses.

What part will need replacing first on the Sharpie 35554?

The bullet tip is not replaceable; once it frays or clogs the whole marker is discarded.

At what temperature does the paint stop performing on hot surfaces?

The marker is rated to 302 °F; above that the paint may degrade or fail to adhere.
