Industrial-grade silver paint marker

Sharpie 35560 is an oil-based permanent marker with a medium bullet tip that lays down opaque silver ink on metal, glass, wood, plastic, rubber, pottery and stone. The ACMI AP non-toxic certification and ASTM D4236 compliance make it suitable for users aged ten and up in workshop, studio or classroom settings.

Xylene-free formula and quick-dry ink

Removing xylene reduces harsh odour and improves safety during extended indoor use without sacrificing adhesion. The permanent ink resists water, fading and abrasion once cured, so marks stay legible on tools, equipment or artwork exposed to handling and the elements.

Oil-based medium bullet tip limits

The medium bullet tip produces a consistent line width but cannot achieve the fine detail of a needle point or the broad coverage of a chisel tip. Oil-based ink requires ventilation while drying and is not designed for surfaces that flex repeatedly or for applications demanding washable or erasable marks.

Questions about this item

How often will the medium bullet tip need replacing on rough surfaces?

The oil-based paint marker uses a permanent ink formula rated for abrasion resistance, so the medium bullet tip maintains its shape through extended marking on metal, wood, glass and stone.

What limits continuous marking time before the ink flow slows?

Quick-drying permanent ink is designed for sustained use on light or dark surfaces without flow interruption during long marking sessions.

Does the xylene-free formula produce noticeable odour or heat during all-day use?

The xylene-free, ACMI AP non-toxic certified ink meets ASTM D4236 standards and remains cool with minimal odour during prolonged marking.
