Sharpie Chisel Tip 4-Pack

This pack contains four black permanent markers with a versatile chisel tip. They are designed for users who need to mark on paper, plastic, metal and most other surfaces. The ink is AP certified, dries quickly and resists fading and water. It suits classroom, office and home tasks requiring bold or narrow lines.

Chisel Tip Line Width Limits

The chisel tip allows both broad and narrow marks by changing the angle of the marker. It cannot produce the extreme precision of an ultra-fine point or the variable line weight of a brush tip. The tip size is fixed, so users needing microscopic detail or calligraphic variation must choose a different Sharpie style.

Simple Cap-Off Use

Remove the cap and write immediately; no activation or shaking is required. The ink dries fast, reducing smudges on non-porous materials. Common issues include the tip drying out if the cap is left off for extended periods and ink bleeding through thin paper. Store horizontally with caps tight to maintain flow.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the chisel-tip 4-count pack or a different Sharpie tip style?

The chisel tip gives you both broad and narrow lines in one marker, making it the most versatile choice for general labelling, posters, and mixed-width writing.

What does “permanent” actually mean once the ink is on plastic or metal?

The ink dries quickly, resists water and fading, and adheres to paper, plastic, metal and most other surfaces so marks stay legible through handling and cleaning.

Does the AP-certified ink meet any specific safety standard for classroom use?

Yes, the AP certification means the ink has been evaluated by a toxicologist and is certified non-toxic, making it safe for school, office and home environments.
