Rectangular Fresnel Lens for Reading

The Shelepro BS103 uses a rectangular Fresnel lens measuring 4.5" x 7.09" to match natural reading patterns. This shape provides a generous viewing area that minimises hand movement while enlarging text up to 500% for low-vision users. The lightweight 0.23 kg frame reduces fatigue during extended sessions.

Integrated Lighting and Rechargeable Power

Twenty evenly distributed LEDs illuminate the page with adjustable brightness via a sliding switch for step-less dimming. A built-in 1000 mAh lithium-polymer battery removes the need for disposable cells and recharges over USB. The 3.8-ounce weight keeps the device balanced whether held at a desk or in a favourite chair.

Suited for Seniors and Hobbyists Needing Full-Page

Readers who want a single handheld sheet that covers a whole column of text will benefit from the large rectangle and anti-glare surface. Buyers who need higher magnification than 5X, a pocket-sized round loupe, or a hands-free stand magnifier should consider other form factors.

Questions about this item

How long will the 1000 mAh battery last before I need to recharge it during all-day reading?

The built-in 1000 mAh lithium-polymer battery powers the 20 LEDs for extended sessions; actual run-time depends on the brightness level you select with the sliding dimmer.

Does the magnifier get warm or make any noise when the LEDs stay on for hours?

The LED array runs cool and silent, so the handle stays comfortable and there is no fan or coil whine during prolonged use.

What do I need to have on hand to charge the BS103 when the battery runs low?

A standard USB power source — such as a computer port, phone charger or power bank — and the supplied USB cable are all that is required.
