M.2 B-Key SATA SSD Adapter with Heatsink

This adapter lets you install a standard M.2 B-Key SATA-Bus SSD into a SATA3 port. It accepts 2230 2242 2260 and 2280 form factors and includes a black heatsink with thermal pads for cooling. A SATA cable and mounting hardware are also provided in the package.

Suitable for upgrading laptops or desktops that have a free SATA3 connection but no M.2 slot. The board draws 3.3 V power from the PCIe slot for the SSD. It does not work with PCIe-based M-Key SSDs so buyers needing that interface must choose another solution.

B-Key SATA Bus Support

The single specification that decides compatibility is the B-Key SATA bus requirement. Only M.2 SSDs that use the SATA protocol on a B-Key pinout will function. PCIe M-Key drives are not supported regardless of physical size.
