Purpose-built strapping tape

This filament tape is designed for sealing cartons, bundling items and reinforcing packages in shipping and mailroom operations. Each roll measures 24 mm wide by 55 metres long with a 5.4 mil thickness and a 175 lb/in tensile strength rating. The pack contains 36 rolls for high-volume use.

Build integration

The hot-melt resin adhesive bonds to corrugated board and a range of packaging surfaces without dispensers or heat tools. Standard-duty strength handles typical parcel loads while the clear finish keeps labels and barcodes readable. Rolls are individually sized for hand application and the case pack keeps inventory organised on the shelf.

Suitability

Warehouses and fulfilment centres that need a reliable, hand-applied strapping tape for standard-duty cartons will find this specification fits the task. Operations requiring heavy-duty or machine-applied reinforcement, or buyers who need a different width, length or adhesive formulation, should evaluate alternative products.

Questions about this item

At what tensile load will the 5.4 mil filament tape start to give way?

The tape is rated at 175 lb/in tensile strength, so sustained loads above that level will cause failure.

How much heat can the roll take before the hot-melt adhesive softens?

The adhesive performs up to 150 °F; beyond that the bond weakens and the tape may lift.

What dispenser width fits the 24 mm rolls in this case?

A standard 1-inch (24 mm) hand-held tape gun or desktop dispenser accepts each roll.
