Clear packaging tape for light-duty sealing

This roll supplies 55 metres of clear tape that is 18 millimetres wide and 4.5 mil thick. The hot-melt resin adhesive is rated for light-duty carton sealing. It performs between minus 10 and 150 degrees Fahrenheit.

Hand application on a standard dispenser

The tape unwinds from a 4-47/64 inch diameter roll and tears by hand without a cutter. Cold temperatures below the minimum can reduce initial tack, and dusty box flaps may lower bond strength.

Suits mailrooms and home shippers closing

Operations that need heavy-duty tensile strength or automated case-sealing equipment should choose a higher-grade strapping tape. The 12-month shelf life also limits bulk storage for seasonal users.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the tape is performing to its 100 lb/in tensile strength after I start using it?

The tape should hold cartons securely without splitting or stretching when pulled by hand; consistent adhesion across the 55 m roll at room temperature indicates it meets the rated strength.

What comes in the package and do I need a separate dispenser for the 75 mm core?

The box contains a single 55 m roll of clear hot-melt resin tape on a 75 mm core; a compatible hand dispenser is not included and must be purchased separately.

Which roll length should I choose — the 55 m or the 180 ft version — for light-duty sealing?

Both figures describe the same roll; 55 m equals 180 ft, so there is no separate version to select — the single GS-series roll covers either measurement.
