General-Purpose Masking Tape 24 mm x 55 m

SHURTAPE 120410 is a general-purpose masking tape built for electricians and trade professionals. The crepe paper backing with rubber adhesive suits indoor use on glass, metal, paper and vinyl surfaces. It operates reliably between 60 and 150 degrees Fahrenheit.

Rubber Adhesive and Crepe Paper Backing

The rubber adhesive delivers 30 oz/in adhesion to steel while the crepe paper backing allows clean removal within the rated temperature window. These materials combine to hold during installation or temporary masking without leaving residue on compatible surfaces.

Continuous Roll for Indoor Electrical Work

Supplied as a continuous 55-metre roll at 24 mm width, the tape fits standard tool pouches and dispensers. The CP 631 series construction supports everyday indoor electrical tasks where consistent adhesion and clean release are required.

Questions about this item

When will the CP 631 rubber-adhesive crepe-paper tape need replacing?

The roll gives 55 metres of 24 mm wide tape; replace it once the length is used or if adhesion drops after the 150 °F upper temperature limit is exceeded.

What stops the tape performing first during a long job?

Continuous exposure above 150 °F or below 60 °F will degrade the rubber adhesive before the crepe-paper backing fails.

Does the 4.9 mil CP 631 tape generate heat or noise when left on a conduit all day?

No — it is a passive masking tape with rubber adhesive on crepe paper, so it produces no heat, noise or power draw during extended indoor use.
