Six-Roll Carton of Acrylic Packing Tape

This carton contains six clear rolls of acrylic packing tape built for hand application. Each roll is 3 inches wide and 110 yards long with a 1.8 mil thickness. The light-duty tensile strength is rated at 20 lb per inch. The adhesive performs from minus 20 degrees F up to 180 degrees F.

Temperature Range and Shelf Life

The acrylic adhesive stays functional across a wide temperature window from minus 20 degrees F to 180 degrees F. Rolls carry a 12-month shelf life when stored properly. The tape meets FDA indirect contact requirements under CFR 21.

Light-Duty Sealing for Standard Cartons

This tape suits general-purpose box sealing where heavy reinforcement is not required. It is not intended for high-stress loads or packages needing reinforced filament tape. Buyers needing wider rolls or heavier tensile ratings should select a different grade.

Questions about this item

How do I apply the 1.8 mil acrylic tape by hand without it splitting?

Pull the tape smoothly from the roll at a low angle, pressing firmly along the 3 in width as you go; jerking or high-angle pulls concentrate stress on the 20 lb/in tensile rating and cause splits.

When should I replace a roll that has been stored on the shelf?

The manufacturer lists a 12 mo shelf life; after that the acrylic adhesive can lose tack, especially if storage exceeded the -20 °F to 180 °F performance range.

At what temperature does the tape stop holding during a long haul?

Continuous exposure above 180 °F or below -20 °F exceeds the rated performance window and the adhesive will fail first.
