The Sick DS35-B15221 is a laser-based distance sensor designed for industrial automation and positioning tasks. It measures from 50 mm to 12,000 mm on targets with 90 % remission and down to 3,100 mm at 6 % remission. A resolution of 0.1 mm and typical accuracy of ± 10 mm suit precise object detection and distance monitoring applications.

Supply voltage 12 V to 30 V DC

The sensor operates on a DC supply between 12 V and 30 V with a maximum ripple of 5 Vpp and consumes 1.7 W. Initialization completes in 500 ms followed by a 20-minute warm-up for full stability. The red laser is rated Class 2 per IEC 60825-1:2014 and offers a typical service life of 100,000 hours at 25 °C.
