The Sick GL6-N1112 is a retro-reflective photoelectric sensor with dual lens optics and a visible red PinPoint LED. It operates on a 10-30 V DC supply and provides an NPN switching output with selectable light or dark switching mode. The sensor is housed in a rectangular ABS/PC plastic enclosure rated IP67 and weighs 60 g. A 2 m PVC cable and a stainless steel mounting bracket with reflector are supplied.

This unit fits applications that require a small rectangular sensor with a maximum sensing range of 6 m and a 1 kHz switching frequency. The fixed 2 m cable and lack of sensitivity adjustment limit its use where connectorised wiring or fine range tuning are needed. Simple bracket mounting with fixed cable wiring

Installation uses the included stainless steel bracket for quick mechanical fixing and the pre-wired 3-wire cable for electrical connection. The cable uses 0.14 mm² conductors and requires a 10-30 V DC supply within the ±10 % ripple specification. Common issues include exceeding the 100 mA output current limit or wiring the NPN output incorrectly for the chosen light/dark mode.
