A rectangular contrast sensor detects colour differences at 10 mm with a green LED, PNP output and IP67 housing
The Sick KT5G-2P1111 is a rectangular contrast sensor with a green LED light source operating at 520 nm. It offers a sensing distance of 10 mm with a tolerance of ± 3 mm. The light spot measures 1.2 mm x 4.2 mm and emits vertically from the long or short housing side. Adjustment is via potentiometer for light/dark switching.
This sensor provides a PNP switching output with a maximum current of 100 mA and a switching frequency of 10 kHz. Response time is 50 µs. It requires a supply voltage of 10 V DC to 30 V DC with ripple at 5 Vpp and power consumption under 80 mA. Connection uses a male M12 4-pin connector.
The zinc diecast housing weighs 400 g and measures 30.4 mm x 53 mm x 80 mm. It meets IP67 enclosure rating and protection class II. Circuit protection includes UV connections, reverse polarity protection, output short-circuit protection, and interference pulse suppression. Buyers needing AC supply voltage or NPN output logic should verify compatibility before ordering.
