Sick VL18-3F3940 retro-reflective sensor

The Sick VL18-3F3940 is a cylindrical photoelectric sensor with an M18 x 1 thread and a 75 mm housing length. It uses visible red LED light to detect objects across a sensing range of 0.05 m to 3.7 m. The unit provides a PNP switching output with light switching mode and a 100 mA output current. It is supplied new and rated IP67 for harsh environments.

M12 connector and 10–30 V DC supply

Connection is made via a 4-pin male M12 connector that fits standard industrial cordsets. The sensor operates from a 10 V DC to 30 V DC supply with a ripple tolerance of ten percent and draws 30 mA.
