Industrial sensing component

The Sick VS/VE12-2N132 is a through-beam photoelectric sensor designed for automation and control tasks. It suits engineers and electricians who need reliable object detection across a defined distance in industrial environments.

Build integration needs

The sensor requires a 10 V DC to 30 V DC supply and connects via a four-wire PVC cable measuring two metres in length. Its cylindrical metal housing uses an M12 x 1 round connector thread and carries an IP67 enclosure rating for dust and water ingress protection.

Sustained operation behaviour

Operating temperatures from –25 °C to +70 °C are supported for continuous use. The infrared LED source delivers a 250 Hz switching frequency with a two-millisecond response time, while the NPN output handles up to 100 mA for stable signalling over long shifts.
