Sensing range and output

This through-beam photoelectric sensor detects objects at distances up to 20 metres with a practical range of 14 metres. It supplies a PNP dark-switching output rated at 100 milliamps and operates on a 10 to 30 volt DC supply.

Cable and housing features

A two-metre three-wire PVC cable with a 3.1 millimetre diameter connects the sensor without separate plugs. The cylindrical M18 by 1 threaded housing is 63.6 millimetres long and made from PBT/PC plastic rated IP67 for dust and water ingress.

Installation notes

Axial optical alignment and a 2.8 degree dispersion angle mean the emitter and receiver must face each other precisely across the gap. The sensor has no sensitivity adjustment so mounting position determines reliable detection. Wiring must observe the 30 milliamp power draw and the 2 millisecond response time for correct PLC timing.
