Photoelectric retro-reflective sensor with PNP output, 10–30 V DC supply, 0.01–6.5 m sensing range, visible red LED, IP67 housing, 2 m PVC cable
The Sick WL160-F142 is a photoelectric retro-reflective sensor designed for industrial detection tasks. It operates on 10 V DC to 30 V DC supply voltage and provides a PNP switching output. The sensor uses visible red LED light at 680 nm wavelength. Its rectangular plastic housing measures 11 mm x 38 mm x 23 mm.
This sensor suits applications requiring a maximum sensing range of 6.5 m and a switching response time of 0.5 ms. The IP67 enclosure rating supports use in harsh environments between –25 °C and +55 °C. It is not for buyers who need a through-beam or diffuse detection principle instead of retro-reflective sensing.
The connection type is a fixed 2 m PVC cable with a conductor cross-section of 0.2 mm2. The cable carries the supply voltage and the PNP switching signal directly. Installers must ensure the cable length and material match the machine layout and chemical exposure conditions.

The sensor consumes 25 mA from a 10 V DC to 30 V DC supply with ±10 % ripple, so heat and power draw stay low during all-day use.
It requires a 10 V DC to 30 V DC source and a 2 m PVC cable with 0.2 mm² conductors for the PNP switching output.
The 0.5 ms response time suits most standard PLC input modules; the PNP light/dark switching is selectable via the rotary switch to match your logic.
