Miniature photoelectric sensor PNP

The Sick WT100-2P1439 is a rectangular proximity sensor that uses energetic photoelectric detection with a visible red LED at 632 nm. It operates on 10 V DC to 30 V DC and provides a PNP switching output with selectable light or dark switching via a rotary switch. The housing measures 11 mm by 31 mm by 20 mm and carries an IP67 enclosure rating for harsh environments.

Mounting bracket included

A BEF-W100-A mounting bracket is supplied in the box so the sensor can be fixed directly without extra hardware. The 2 m PVC cable with three wires and 0.18 mm² conductors is already attached, removing the need for a separate connector or field wiring. Potentiometer adjustment on the body sets the sensing range without software or teach-in procedures.

Sensing range and response limits

Maximum sensing range reaches 1,200 mm while the specified operating range covers 0 mm to 750 mm. At 1,000 mm distance the light spot diameter is 75 mm, which limits resolution for small targets. Switching frequency is 1,000 Hz with a response time of 0.5 ms, and the output current is capped at 100 mA. Ambient operating temperature spans –25 °C to +55 °C.
