The Sick WT150-P132 is a rectangular photoelectric proximity sensor that uses energetic detection with visible red light. It operates on a 10 V DC to 30 V DC supply and provides a PNP switching output with selectable light or dark switching via an L/D control cable. The sensor offers a maximum sensing range of 10 mm to 250 mm and a defined sensing range of 10 mm to 200 mm. A 270° potentiometer allows sensitivity adjustment for application-specific tuning.

Confirm that your control system supplies between 10 V DC and 30 V DC with ripple within ±10 %. The unit connects via a 2 m, 4-wire PVC cable with 0.18 mm² conductor cross-section, so ensure your terminal block or connector matches this wiring layout. The IP67-rated ABS housing measures 10 mm x 28 mm x 17.5 mm and includes a BEF-W150-A mounting bracket; check that the mounting footprint and cable routing suit your machine frame. Operating temperature spans –25 °C to +55 °C.

Replaces Older Energetic Sensors

This model upgrades installations that previously used sensors with shorter sensing distances or without selectable light/dark switching. The 1,000 Hz switching frequency and 0.5 ms response time improve detection reliability on fast-moving lines. The jump is worthwhile when you need the extended 250 mm maximum range, the adjustable potentiometer, or the UL-listed protection class II enclosure for compliance. It is not suited for applications requiring background suppression, laser precision, or analogue output.
