Rectangular photoelectric proximity sensor with background suppression detects objects from 100 mm to 2,500 mm using infrared LED and offers selectable light or dark switching via potentiometer
The Sick WT34-R210 is a rectangular photoelectric proximity sensor that uses background suppression to detect objects reliably. It emits infrared light from an LED source and provides a sensing range from 100 mm up to 2,500 mm. The housing measures 27 mm by 92 mm by 70 mm and weighs 140 g. It is rated IP67 and operates from –40 °C to +60 °C.
This sensor suits production lines, conveyors and packaging machines that need adjustable detection distances and a relay output with change-over contacts. The wide supply voltage of 20 V to 250 V AC/DC fits many control cabinets without extra transformers. Buyers who need faster switching than 10 Hz or a solid-state output instead of a relay should look at something else.
The potentiometer lets installers set the exact switching point anywhere within the 100 mm to 2,500 mm window, giving comfortable headroom for varying target positions. At the maximum distance the light spot grows to roughly 80 mm, so very small objects at long range may not be detected reliably. The relay handles up to 4 A at 250 V AC or 24 V DC with a 10 ms response time.

The sensor operates on 20 V AC/DC to 250 V AC/DC, so your power supply must fall within that range.
Yes, the change-over relay contacts are rated for 4 A at 24 V DC, compatible with typical low-voltage control circuits.
Use the light/dark selector to choose the switching mode, then observe the relay change-over action when an object enters the 100 mm to 2,500 mm sensing range.
