Single-pole DIN-rail breaker rated 13 A, 230/400 V AC with 10 kA interrupting capacity and thermal-magnetic D-curve trip
This Siemens 5SY4 series circuit breaker is a single-pole supplementary protector rated 13 A for 230/400 V AC systems. It mounts on a DIN rail and uses a thermal-magnetic trip with a D curve for industrial control circuits. Screw-clamp terminals accept wire from 14 AWG to 4 AWG.
It suits electricians and panel builders who need a UL 1077 recognised supplementary protector for single-phase loads up to 13 A. It is not for applications that require a branch-circuit rated breaker under a different UL standard or a multi-pole device for three-phase distribution.
The 10 kA maximum AIR at 230/400 V AC is the key figure that determines whether this breaker can safely clear a fault in the intended installation. Verify that the available short-circuit current does not exceed this rating before specifying the part.

The breaker uses DIN rail mounting and screw-clamp terminals; mounting clips and wire are not included and must be sourced separately.
The D-curve 13 A rating suits loads with high inrush such as motors or transformers; select a lower rating only if the protected cable and load require it.
It indicates the breaker can safely interrupt up to 10 kA of prospective short-circuit current at 230/400 V AC without damage.
