A 40 A two-pole breaker rated 120/240 V AC with 10 kA interrupting capacity for Siemens P1 panels
This SIEMENS BL Series miniature circuit breaker provides 40 A overload and short-circuit protection on a 120/240 V AC single-phase supply. It mounts by bolting onto compatible Siemens P1 panelboards and uses a toggle actuator for manual switching. The unit carries a 10 kA interrupting rating at its rated voltage and accepts conductors down to 8 AWG at its lug terminals.
Electricians fitting or extending a Siemens P1 load centre will find this breaker matches the required frame size and mounting method. It is not suited for panels that accept only plug-on breakers or for systems requiring a DC voltage rating, and it cannot be used where a higher interrupting capacity is specified.
The 10 kA AIR rating is the single figure that determines whether this breaker can safely clear a fault in your installation. Verify that the available fault current at the panelboard does not exceed this value before selecting the device.

The unit uses bolt-on mounting and a terminal lug connection; both are integral to the breaker so no separate hardware is required.
This model is fixed at 40 A, 2 pole, 120/240 V AC; choose it only when the circuit requires exactly that rating and your panel is a Siemens P1 series.
It means the breaker can safely clear a fault current up to 10 kA at 120/240 V AC without damage, provided the panel’s available fault current does not exceed that value.
