A 50 A two-pole bolt-on breaker rated 120/240 V AC with a 10 kA interrupting capacity for Siemens panelboards
This SIEMENS BQ2B050 is a bolt-on miniature circuit breaker rated at 50 A for 120/240 V AC systems. It fits Siemens panelboards using the BQ series frame size of 125 A. The two-pole design uses a toggle actuator for manual switching. It is intended for standard branch-circuit protection in residential or light-commercial panels.
The single specification that decides fit is the maximum AIR rating of 10 kA at 120/240 V AC. This breaker will safely interrupt fault currents up to that level on a compatible Siemens panel. If the available fault current at the installation point exceeds 10 kA, this device is not suitable and a higher-rated breaker must be selected.
The bundled lug terminals define the wire range: minimum 8 AWG, maximum 4 AWG for aluminium conductors and 6 AWG for copper conductors. No additional accessories or software are included with this breaker. Installers must supply conductors within this range and torque the lugs to the panelboard manufacturer's specification.

It will carry up to 50 A continuously and trip on overloads or short circuits above that level, protecting 120/240 V AC branch circuits fed from a Siemens panelboard.
The breaker is tested to safely clear faults up to 10 000 A at 120/240 V AC; it must not be applied where available fault current exceeds that value.
The breaker measures 2.0 in long by 3.0 in wide by 3.0 in deep, accepts 8 AWG to 4 AWG aluminium or 6 AWG copper lugs, and mounts on a bolt-on bus in a BQ-series panelboard.
