90 Degree RJ45 Connector

This 90 degree RJ45 connector is designed for Ethernet cabling in tight spaces. It accepts solid wire and uses a Fast Connect termination method. The connector is Category 5e rated and finished in black. It meets RoHS and UL standards.

Installers needing a right-angle Ethernet

Suited for panel-mount or wall-plate installations where a straight connector would not fit. The four-contact layout supports two-pair Ethernet links. Builders requiring eight-contact gigabit terminations should look at a different connector. Users working with stranded patch cable need a connector rated for that wire type.

Four-contact Category 5e pinout

Only four of the eight positions are loaded with contacts, so the connector carries two-pair Ethernet signals. This pinout determines whether the part matches the required link speed and wiring scheme. Verify the application calls for a four-contact Category 5e connector before purchasing.

Questions about this item

What Ethernet speed does the Cat 5e RJ45 90 degree connector support in practice?

The Cat 5e rating supports Gigabit Ethernet up to 1 Gbps over standard twisted-pair cabling.

What cable diameter and wire type does the 90 degree RJ45 housing accept?

It accepts solid 24 AWG conductors with Fast Connect insulation displacement, no stripping required.

How do you terminate the 4-contact RJ45 plug, and which step is often missed?

Insert each solid wire into the colour-coded IDC slots, fully seat them with a punch-down tool, then snap the hinged cover — skipping the full seat causes open circuits.
