Ultra-wide 14mm f/1.8 prime with 114.2° view, 16 elements in 11 groups and HSM autofocus for Nikon F mount
The Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art is a wide-angle prime built for Nikon F-mount cameras. Its 114.2° angle of view suits landscape, architecture and astrophotography work. The f/1.8 maximum aperture gathers abundant light for low-light scenes and shallow depth of field. Sixteen elements in eleven groups correct distortion and chromatic aberration across the frame.
Super multi-layer coating suppresses flare and ghosting when shooting into bright light sources over extended sessions. The large Hyper-Sonic Motor provides high torque for quick, quiet focus acquisition and holds position reliably during long exposures. With no image stabilisation, the optical formula remains stable without floating-group drift. Minimum focus distance of 27 cm allows close foreground emphasis without breathing.
This lens replaces slower ultra-wide zooms or older primes that max out at f/2.8 or narrower. The jump is worthwhile when you need the 1.8 aperture for Milky Way work, event interiors or environmental portraits at 14 mm. It is not for shooters who require filter threads on the front barrel or who need vibration reduction for handheld video. The 95.4 x 126 mm body balances well on professional Nikon bodies.

The lens is fully passive and draws no electrical power; it relies on the camera body for autofocus drive and aperture control.
You need a Nikon F-mount DSLR or mirrorless body with an FTZ adapter, plus a rear lens cap; the lens has no filter thread so front filters cannot be attached.
Autofocus requires the camera to supply a screw-drive or in-body motor; on bodies without that support the lens functions as manual-focus only, while aperture control remains electronic via the mount contacts.
