SIGMA 15mm f/1.4 DC Contemporary Lens for Sony E with TAKAMA Tripod and Cleaning Kit

Sigma 15mm f/1.4 DC Contemporary for Sony E

This wide-angle prime lens covers a 15mm focal length with a fast f/1.4 maximum aperture on Sony E-mount APS-C cameras. The optical design uses one FLD element, three SLD elements and three double-sided aspherical lenses to maintain sharpness across the frame. A compact barrel measures 64.8mm long and weighs 220g, making it easy to carry for daily shooting. The bundle adds a Takama tripod with three-way head and a Pro Optic cleaning kit for immediate use.

Suited to APS-C shooters wanting a fast wide prime

Photographers and video creators who need a bright, portable wide angle for street, travel, environmental portrait or live-streaming work will benefit from the f/1.4 aperture and lightweight build. The lens gives a 22.5mm full-frame equivalent view with close focus capability for versatile framing. Buyers who require optical stabilisation, weather sealing, autofocus motors optimised for fast sports tracking, or a longer telephoto reach should consider other options.

Focal length and aperture define the creative

The 15mm focal length combined with f/1.4 determines the field of view, depth-of-field control and low-light performance in a single optic. This specification decides whether the lens matches the intended shooting style, from wide environmental scenes to subject isolation with background blur. The 30% shorter and 50% lighter construction versus the 16mm f/1.4 predecessor reinforces the portability advantage for mobile creators.
