Sigma 16mm f/1.4 for Sony E-Mount APS-C

This bright wide-angle prime delivers a 24mm equivalent field of view on Sony E-mount APS-C cameras. Its f/1.4 maximum aperture excels in low light and provides shallow depth of field for subject separation. The Contemporary line design balances high optical performance with a compact form factor. Stepping motor autofocus ensures smooth, quiet operation suitable for video work.

Suits low-light and video creators.

Photographers needing a fast, wide prime for environmental portraits, astrophotography or indoor events will benefit from the large aperture. Videographers gain silent, smooth focus transitions from the stepping motor. The dust- and splash-resistant mount supports outdoor use. Shooters requiring full-frame coverage or longer focal lengths for distant subjects should consider other lenses.

16 elements in 13 groups with FLD and SLD glass

The optical formula uses 16 elements arranged in 13 groups to control aberrations across the frame. Three FLD and two SLD glass elements reduce chromatic distortion for high resolution. Two moulded glass aspherical elements further correct spherical aberration and distortion. This construction delivers sharp results from f/1.4 through the aperture range.
