SIGMA 20mm f/1.4 DG DN Art Lens

The SIGMA 20mm f/1.4 DG DN Art is a wide-angle prime lens built for L-mount mirrorless cameras. Its bright f/1.4 aperture makes it a strong choice for astrophotography, low-light environments and creative portrait work where shallow depth of field is desired. The bundle includes an 82mm multi-coated UV slim filter and a microfiber cleaning cloth for front-element protection.

Installing the lens and filter

Mount the lens by aligning the L-mount index and rotating until it locks with a click. The included 82mm slim filter threads onto the front barrel; take care to start the threads straight to avoid cross-threading on the thin ring. A common issue is vignetting when stacking additional filters, so keep the stack minimal for ultra-wide work.

The f/1.4 aperture at 20mm

The defining specification is the combination of a 20mm focal length and a maximum aperture of f/1.4 on a full-frame image circle. This pairing delivers exceptional light gathering for night sky imaging and subject separation rarely found at this width. Photographers needing zoom versatility or a slower maximum aperture for lighter weight should consider other options.
