Wide-Angle Prime for Nikon F

The Sigma 20mm F1.4 DG HSM Art is a wide-angle prime lens built for Nikon F-mount cameras. It uses 15 elements in 11 groups including two FLD, five SLD and two aspherical elements. A Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting. The fast f/1.4 maximum aperture suits landscape, architecture, interior and astrophotography work.

Mount and Focus Compatibility

This lens fits Nikon F mount bodies and provides autofocus operation. The maximum aperture is f/1.4 and the minimum is f/16. The front filter thread diameter is 3.6 inches. Verify that your camera body supports autofocus with this mount and that the filter size matches any accessories you plan to use.

Optical Construction Benefits

The combination of FLD and SLD glass with aspherical surfaces controls chromatic and spherical aberrations while limiting distortion. The coating improves contrast and colour accuracy across the frame. These optical choices deliver clean, sharp, evenly illuminated results without requiring additional correction tools.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the Sigma 20mm F1.4 DG HSM Art lens and what must be purchased separately?

The lens includes front and rear caps plus a petal-type hood. Filters, a tripod collar and any adapter for non-Nikon F bodies are sold separately.

How do I choose between the available versions of this 20mm f/1.4 Art lens?

This model 412955 is the single Nikon F mount version; other mounts such as Canon EF or Sony E are separate SKUs, so pick the one that matches your camera.

What does the f/1.4 maximum aperture mean when shooting with this 20mm lens on a Nikon DSLR?

It provides a very bright viewfinder image and allows fast shutter speeds in low light, while the nine-blade diaphragm produces smooth background blur at wide apertures.
