35mm f/1.4 Art Lens for L Mount

The SIGMA 35mm f/1.4 DG DN ART lens is built exclusively for mirrorless cameras using the L Mount system. It delivers exceptional sharpness and minimal aberrations from its widest aperture, making it a strong choice for photographers who need high optical quality in a compact, weather-sealed prime.

Ideal for astrophotography and close-up work

The lens renders edge light points cleanly at wide apertures, suiting astrophotography, while a very close minimum focusing distance allows detailed close-ups with smooth background separation. Buyers who need zoom flexibility or a longer focal length for distant subjects should look at other options.

Direct mount with on-lens controls

The lens mounts natively to L Mount bodies without adapters and features a stepping motor for quick, smooth autofocus. On-barrel controls include a focus mode switch, AFL button, aperture ring with click and lock switches, and a dust and splash-proof structure for straightforward handling in varied conditions.

Questions about this item

Which camera mount does the lens require to function?

The lens is built for the L mount, so it works natively on any full-frame or APS-C body that uses the L mount standard.

Can the bundled 67 mm filters be used on older lenses that share the same thread size?

Yes, the 67 mm filter thread is a standard size, so the included filters fit any other lens with a 67 mm front thread regardless of age or brand.

How can I verify the lens is focusing accurately after mounting it?

Take a test shot at f/1.4 of a flat, high-contrast target at the minimum focusing distance and check that the plane of focus falls exactly where the focus point was placed.
