Converts optical or coaxial digital audio to analog stereo with a Cirrus Logic CS8416 chip supporting 96 kHz sampling in a shielded metal housing
The SIIG CE-CV0011-S2 converts coaxial or Toslink digital audio signals into analog stereo output. It suits users connecting legacy AV equipment to modern digital sources such as TVs or game consoles. The unit supports sampling rates of 32, 44.1, 48 and 96 kHz via a Cirrus Logic CS8416 chip. A 16 ft cable length provides flexible placement in home-theatre setups.
Connect the optical or coaxial input, attach the RCA output and power the device with the included 5 VDC adapter. Metal housing delivers RF shielding for electromagnetic-noise-free transmission. The only common issue is forgetting to set the source device to PCM output, which the converter requires. No drivers or software configuration are needed.
The converter handles two-channel L/R audio up to 96 kHz and draws a maximum of 0.5 W. It cannot decode multichannel formats such as Dolby Digital or DTS, so surround-sound sources must be downmixed at the source. Headroom is ample for standard CD-quality and high-resolution stereo streams. Buyers needing more than two analog channels should consider a different solution.

Feed a 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz stream from the source; the Cirrus Logic CS8416 chip locks to the incoming S/PDIF signal and the analog RCA outputs should produce clean stereo audio with no digital artefacts.
The box contains the converter, a 5 V 2 A power adapter with a 5.4 mm barrel plug, and an installation guide; you must supply the Toslink or coaxial digital cable and a pair of RCA interconnects for the analog output.
Measure the total cable path from the digital source to the converter plus the analog run to the amplifier; if the combined distance stays within 16 ft the included length is sufficient, otherwise you will need longer Toslink, coaxial or RCA cables.
