SIIG HDMI Over IP Receiver 150m

The SIIG CE-H3IP11-S1 is an HDMI over IP receiver designed to extend 1080p video and audio signals up to 150 metres over a single Cat5e or Cat6 network cable. It serves as an additional receiver for the CE-H3IP01-S1 transmitter kit, making it suitable for installers expanding digital signage, education, or commercial AV systems. The unit includes IR pass-through at 2060KHz and a 3.5 mm stereo audio extraction jack. It is not for users who need a transmitter or a complete kit in one box.

Cat5e/6 Distance and Bandwidth Limits

The receiver operates over standard unmanaged Gigabit network switches using Cat5e or Cat6 cabling with a maximum reach of 150 metres (492 feet). Video bandwidth is specified at 165 MHz, supporting 1080p resolution at 60 Hz. Signal stability depends on cable quality and switch performance; runs beyond the rated distance or through non-Gigabit infrastructure will degrade or fail. It does not support fibre uplinks or 10 GbE backbones.

1080p Capacity and Multi-Receiver Headroom

A single transmitter can feed up to 253 receivers across the same network, allowing large one-to-many distributions or VLAN-segmented many-to-many groups. Each receiver delivers Full HD 1080p at 60 Hz with PCM two-channel audio via HDMI and the analogue 3.5 mm output. The system tops out at 1080p; 4K, HDR, or higher refresh rates are not supported. Buyers needing resolutions above 1080p or more than 253 endpoints must choose a different platform.

Questions about this item

Is this the only receiver model for the CE-H3IP01-S1 kit or are there other versions?

The CE-H3IP11-S1 is the additional receiver sold separately for the CE-H3IP01-S1 kit. One transmitter can connect up to 253 of these receivers across a standard Gigabit network switch for one-to-many distribution.

What does 1080p@60Hz actually look like at the full 150 m distance?

The receiver delivers Full HD 1080p video at 60 Hz up to 150 m (492 ft) over a single Cat5e/6 cable with crisp, vivid visuals and smooth frame rates for presentations, signage and multimedia playback.

Does the HDMI over IP link use a proprietary protocol or standard Ethernet, and what limits the 150 m range?

The extender runs over standard Cat5e/6 cables using unmanaged Gigabit network switches. The 150 m distance is the specified transmission limit for 1080p@60Hz signals; VLAN configuration enables many-to-many distribution within the same network.
