A 2-port DisplayPort KVM switch shares one 4K monitor, USB 3.2 Gen 1 peripherals and 7.1-channel audio between two computers with push-button, hotkey or IR remote control
This switch lets one monitor, keyboard, mouse, and audio set control two computers that each output DisplayPort video. It is aimed at professionals who run a workstation and a personal rig side by side, or developers who need a test machine and a main machine on a single desk. Buyers who need to manage more than two computers or who require HDMI or USB-C video inputs on the PC side will not be served by this unit.
The switch passes DisplayPort 1.4 signals at up to 8K resolution at 30Hz and 32.4Gbps bandwidth, and DisplayPort 1.2 at 4K 60Hz and 21.6Gbps, maintaining a stable link during long sessions. HDMI output supports 4K 60Hz at 18Gbps with HDCP 2.2 and HDR. USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports sustain 5Gbps peripheral throughput while audio carries 7.1-channel surround over DisplayPort or HDMI and 2.1-channel PCM over the 3.5mm jacks. Hotkey, push-button, and IR remote selection all operate instantly without re-negotiating the video link.
The enclosure measures 1.02 by 7.00 by 2.95 inches and weighs 0.80 lb, fitting neatly between monitors. Rear-facing DisplayPort, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-B, USB 2.0 Type-A, and 3.5mm microphone jacks keep cables directed away from the user, while the front panel offers two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports for flash drives, an IR sensor, and an IR extender jack for hidden placement. An included 5V/3A DC adapter powers the unit, and the package supplies two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A to B cables, the IR remote, and the extender cable.
