  • Adds a Gigabit Ethernet port via PCI Express
  • Supports 1000 Mb/s data transfer rate
  • Auto-negotiation optimises link speed automatically
  • Full duplex mode doubles effective throughput
  • Dual-profile bracket fits standard and low-profile cases

Adds one Gigabit Ethernet port to a desktop

SIIG's DP Gigabit Ethernet PCIe installs in a PCI Express slot to provide a single high-speed wired network connection for desktop computers and workstations. It supports data transfer rates up to 1000Mb/s with auto-negotiation and full duplex operation.

Suits systems lacking Gigabit connectivity

This card suits owners of older desktops or workstations that only have 10/100 Ethernet or no onboard network port at all. It is not for buyers who need multiple additional ports or who require fibre or 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity.

Single PCI Express lane interface

The adapter connects through a standard PCI Express slot using the CN-GP1021-S3 controller to deliver one Gigabit Ethernet link. Verify that your motherboard has a free PCIe slot before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does my motherboard need a free PCI Express slot for the CN-GP1021-S3?

Yes, the adapter installs in any available PCI Express slot on a desktop or workstation motherboard.

Will the card negotiate speed with my older 10/100 switch?

It auto-negotiates at 10, 100 or 1000 Mb/s, so it will link at the highest rate the switch supports.

How can I verify the card is running at 1000 Mb/s after installation?

Check the connection status in your operating system or the link LED on the port; both will show a 1000 Mb/s full-duplex link when active.
