Collector-scale construction replica

The Siku Volvo EC290 is a 1/50 scale diecast excavator built for adult collectors and hobby enthusiasts. It arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging as an officially licensed product. True-to-scale detail covers both the exterior and the interior of the cab. The yellow finish matches the real machine's livery.

Moving parts for display flexibility

The body rotates a full 360 degrees on the undercarriage. A movable boom, stick and bucket articulate to show different working positions. Plastic tracks roll freely so the model can be repositioned without lifting. No panels or hatches open, keeping the lines clean for shelf display.

Upgrade from static toys

This replica replaces simpler push-along construction toys that lack hydraulic articulation or cab rotation. The jump is worth it when you want accurate proportions, licensed branding and diecast heft for a diorama or cabinet. Buyers who need opening doors, engine access or a larger scale should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How long can I display the Siku Volvo EC290 model before the diecast metal shows fatigue?

The model is a static 1/50 scale diecast collectible made for shelf display; it has no moving load-bearing mechanism that would fatigue under normal indoor use.

Does the excavator generate any noise or heat when left on a shelf all day?

No, it is a non-powered diecast model with movable boom, stick, bucket and 360-degree body rotation operated by hand, so it produces no noise or heat.

What additional items are required to operate the moving tracks, boom and bucket on this model?

Nothing extra is needed; all moving parts including plastic tracks, boom, stick, bucket and 360-degree rotating body are manipulated directly by hand.
