Mid-tower ATX case for ARGB builds

The SilverStone FARA R1 PRO is a black ATX mid-tower chassis built from steel, plastic and tempered glass. It targets builders who want a showcase window and pre-installed lighting without paying for a power supply. The mesh front panel and four included 120mm ARGB fans give immediate airflow and colour coordination out of the box.

Sustained-load airflow and radiator support

The shortened chassis and fully meshed front create a large intake area that keeps temperatures stable during long sessions. You can mount up to a 280mm radiator at the front, a 240mm unit at the top and a 120mm radiator at the rear. Seven expansion slots and a 322mm GPU clearance with front fans fitted leave room for high-end graphics cards.

Straightforward assembly with a few constraints

Removable dust filters on the top and bottom panels simplify cleaning after extended use. The 165mm CPU cooler limit and 160mm power-supply limit with the 3.5-inch drive cage installed mean tall coolers and long PSUs need verification before purchase. Front I/O provides two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port and a single audio jack for everyday peripherals.

Questions about this item

How much noise and heat do the four included 120mm ARGB fans produce when the system runs all day?

The four pre-installed 120mm ARGB fans move air through the fully meshed front panel; noise level varies with fan speed but the mesh design reduces restriction, helping keep temperatures lower at a given RPM.

What other components must I already own for this case to function as a complete build?

You need an ATX, Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX motherboard, a CPU cooler no taller than 165mm, a graphics card up to 322mm long and 170mm wide, a power supply up to 160mm long, plus storage drives for the one 3.5in and four 2.5in bays.

Will my older 280mm radiator and full-length GPU fit together in this chassis?

Yes, the front supports radiators up to 280mm and the GPU clearance remains 322mm with front fans installed, so a 280mm AIO and a long card can coexist.
