Server Memory Kit

This Simmtec 8GB kit contains two 4GB fully buffered DIMMs built for DDR2 server platforms. The modules run at 667 MHz with CL5 latency and operate at 1.8 volts. They are registered ECC memory intended for multi-socket systems that require error correction and signal buffering. This kit will not work in desktop or laptop computers.

240-pin FBDIMM Build

Each stick uses a 240-pin connector and a normal-height profile with 36 chips in a 2Rx4 dual-rank layout. The fully buffered design moves the memory controller onto the module itself, reducing electrical load on the motherboard. Installation requires a server board with DDR2 FBDIMM slots; standard DDR2 desktop slots are physically and electrically incompatible.
