DDR2 DIMM kit for DFI LP DK 790GX-M2RS

This 4 GB kit contains two 2 GB DDR2 DIMMs built specifically for the DFI LANPARTY LP DK 790GX-M2RS motherboard. The modules use a 240-pin interface and run at 800 MHz with PC2-6400 and PC2-6300 ratings. They are supplied new and tested for full compatibility with that board.

Upgrade from lower-capacity or slower DDR2 pairs

The kit replaces smaller or slower DDR2 sets installed in the same motherboard. The jump is worthwhile when the system needs the full 4 GB capacity and the rated 800 MHz speed for stability. It does not suit boards that require a different pin count, voltage or memory type.

Questions about this item

Will this 240-pin DDR2 DIMM kit fit the DFI LP DK 790GX-M2RS motherboard slots?

The kit is built specifically for the DFI LANPARTY LP DK 790GX-M2RS and uses the standard 240-pin DDR2 DIMM form factor that matches the board's memory sockets.

What is the correct installation sequence for the two 2GB modules on this board?

Install one module in each channel, seating each DIMM firmly until the retention clips click; the common mistake is leaving one clip unlatched, which causes a no-boot condition.
