The Simplex 1011-3 is a heavy-duty knob lock that grants exterior access through a pushbutton combination while allowing free egress from the inside. Its fully mechanical design removes the need for batteries, wiring or scheduled power-source maintenance. A single access code is programmed at the keypad without removing the lock from the door. The bright brass US3 finish suits commercial and residential entries where key management is impractical.

Adjustable Backset and Door Range

The lock fits wood or metal doors between 35 and 57 millimetres thick and covers an adjustable backset of 60 to 70 millimetres. The latch measures 13 by 19 millimetres. This range covers standard interior and exterior door preparations, but it will not suit thinner cabinet doors or thicker security doors outside the stated limits.

Three-Hour Fire-Rated Cylindrical Latch

The cylindrical latch carries a three-hour UL/ULC fire rating on "A" label doors. This rating is the single specification that determines suitability for fire-rated openings in corridors, stairwells or tenant separations. Buyers whose doors lack a matching fire label or who require a mortise latch instead of a cylindrical one cannot use this lock.
