Universal Roof Antenna for AM FM HD Satellite Radio

This shark fin antenna replaces a factory mast with a low profile glossy black unit that fits most vehicles. It receives AM FM HD Radio and Satellite Radio signals through the standard antenna base connection. Installation uses the supplied 3M double sided tape and a screw into the existing base so no drilling is required. The ABS housing measures 7 inches long 4 inches wide and 3 inches high.

Drivers who want a clean roof line

The antenna suits owners looking for a direct screw on replacement that also covers Satellite Radio frequencies. Buyers whose vehicle uses a powered or diversity antenna system that needs multiple connectors should look at a different solution. Vehicles without a compatible threaded antenna base cannot use this mounting method. The single cable design does not support separate GPS or cellular inputs.

Frequency coverage decides compatibility

The unit receives FM from 76.0 to 108.0 MHz and AM from 530 to 1710 KHz plus HD Radio and Satellite Radio bands. If your local stations broadcast outside these ranges or your head unit requires a dedicated Satellite Radio tuner with a proprietary connector this antenna will not provide the signal you need. Match the connector type on your existing base before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does my car need an existing antenna base with a screw thread to attach this shark fin?

Yes, the antenna connects directly to the vehicle's antenna base using a screw thread, so that base must already be present.

Will this antenna receive the same FM range of 76.0MHz to 108.0MHz and AM range of 530KHz to 1710KHz as my factory aerial?

It covers FM 76.0MHz to 108.0MHz and AM 530KHz to 1710KHz, matching standard broadcast bands used by most factory radios.

After fitting, how can I confirm the shark fin is picking up HD Radio and Satellite Radio signals properly?

Tune to a known HD Radio multicast channel or a Satellite Radio preset; clear audio and station data indicate the antenna is functioning as intended.
