Versatile CD Boombox for Home & Outdoor

The Singing Wood SBX030BTB plays standard CDs, CD-R/RW, MP3 CDs and audiobook CDs with shuffle and repeat modes shown on an LED display. Bluetooth streaming lets you send music from a phone or tablet to the dual front-firing speakers. It runs on the included AC cord or six C batteries for portable use.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

Mains power keeps the unit running continuously at home without battery cost. On battery power the low 2W per channel output draws modest current from six C cells for extended listening sessions. The analog AM/FM tuner and passive playback produce no audible fan noise in any setting.

Connectivity Expands Playback Options

A USB port accepts flash drives up to 128GB for MP3 and WMA files. The 3.5mm aux input connects older MP3 players or laptops without Bluetooth. A dedicated headphone jack enables private listening in shared spaces such as dormitories or offices.

Questions about this item

How do I install the AC power cord and which step do people get wrong?

Plug the supplied AC cord into the rear socket and a mains outlet; the common mistake is leaving 6 C batteries inside while on mains power, which can cause leakage.

What maintenance will the CD mechanism need later?

Clean the laser lens with a standard CD lens cleaner disc when discs skip or fail to load; no other user-serviceable parts are inside.

What limit appears first during sustained Bluetooth streaming?

The 6 C batteries typically run down after several hours at moderate volume, so mains power is needed for longer sessions.
